I grew up knowing that I had two Revolutionary War ancestors: one on my Mom’s side and one on my Grandmother’s tree. So, in 2017 I decided to work through my personal list of ancestors who lived during the war to see if they also served.

Thanks to GenealogyBank’s Historical Newspaper Archives I learned about other relatives who served in the American Revolution.

I found there were plenty of them.

It is so interesting to learn about these veterans of the American Revolution. I look forward to discovering more details of my family history in 2018.
