  1. Griffith Energy owns the propane tank where the house was blown-up in Whallonsburg, NY. Mrs. Depuy was home at the time. Her house exploded while she was sitting at the kitchen table. She's lucky the explosion didn't kill her. They are collecting donations. Her granddaughter has started a fund for her: Tina Haynes, 448 Durand Road, Plattsburgh, NY 12901. When was a safety check ever conducted there? A proper safety check (industry standard) usually prevents a gas explosion due to gas leaks, as occurred here with the lines running from this Griffith Oil Co. propane tank.
