This constantly growing collection now features over 221 million family history records – I estimate that to contain over 1.3 Billion names.

You can search GenealogyBank for free and see a small slice of every record for your ancestors but you must join GenealogyBank to view the complete documents – 30 day trial memberships are available for only $9.95.

  1. Please consider The Daniels County Leader, the newspaper in Scobey, Daniels County, Montana. This is a small town newspaper that carries a lot of information about the surrounding communities and families. To the best of my knowledge there has been no computerization of this paper. Please, please, please.

  2. It is great that new content is added monthly, but if last month I found 948 results for my search and this month I find 949 — how do I tell which one is new??

The inability to search data limited by the date it was posted makes it difficult to use the databases beyond the initial search or two because it is impossible to spend the time it would take to eliminate all the results you’ve already seen and just look at those posted prior to that search.

This is a problem with all large databases, not just GenealogyBank, but it is a serious problem for which I hope a solution can soon be found.
